Escape to the Mimosa Lake Retreat, a serene hideaway just minutes from Charlotte Airport, Carowinds amusement park, Oakboro Disc Golf Park, and Eagle Chase Golf Course. Bring the whole family to immerse yourselves in nature—spot waterfowl, turtles, bass, and panfish as you explore the wildlife surrounding the lake. End your day with late-night gatherings around the fire pit, right by the water, creating memories under the stars.

The Space

The Rock is designed with your family vacation in mind and stocked with the things you’ll need for your stay whether you like cooking or just relaxing. We have a pool table in the second-story loft area and a massive 60×14 porch facing the water We have a reading room with sliding glass doors facing the water. Oh ya and a peaceful yet productive work space area. Additionally, there are 2 twin over full bunk beds in the loft area. The Rock is home to a unique and elegant outdoor environment with active wildlife, open green space, and a beautiful private reflective lake as the crown jewel. This is a great place for out-of-town families to stay when you’re attending the nearby wedding venue or accommodations for a work-related stay.

Guest Access

All of the home is accessible for use except two locked staff closets. Some illustrations within this listing may include pictures of the recreation center which Is available upon request.

Other things to note

We like to cook and believe we’ve provided everything you need to enjoy preparing meals for your family at The Rock. Find your favorite recipe with our high-speed Wi-Fi always available. We also like to drink coffee therefore, you will find what you need. If there is anything that’s not in place just call your neighbors on the other side of the water; we will be happy to lend you what we have. Some illustrations depict the recreation center, this can be recognized by the retro appeal and is reserved by request.

Fishing

Fishing is permitted only with a valid private permit that must be applied for and approved prior to arrival. Each individual angler must complete an application and carry their permit while fishing.

Guests age 13 and under must either have their own permit or be listed on a permitted adult’s application and must be accompanied by that adult while fishing.
